Essentially this program removes the What, Where, When and How. It is packaged and ready to present. Planners just need to focus on the Who; their client.
Weddings no matter Where, always comes down to the ceremony as the crucial element…and then the reception.
This new trend is mindful of what we’ve all experienced. People have lost jobs and likely are not in a position to travel or want to attend a wedding abroad, and the bridal couple has less resources for their wedding as well and greater potential costs, concerns and fears.
It is times like these that we as professionals, need to be agile to ways of packaging weddings to create new products that can adapt to the changing world around us, in spite of restrictions and other factors that impact the decisions relating to destination weddings.
If jobs are affected the overall cost has to be considered, the cost impacts to guests attending, the protocols that need to be followed, temperature checks and risks of testing positive, ensuring safety, limits to the number of people participating and the list goes on.
In spite of all these measures, the wedding is supposed to be a fun celebration. With all these details to consider when is the feeling of happiness supposed to kick in?
This concept in Weddings brings back the celebration, sense of family, community and joy.
As I was working with my client Mr. Lamin Ngobeh we too were faced with the potential challenge of cancelations in this uncertain time for his global events. We found a way to ensure the events function even in these challenging times.
Mr. Lamin Ngobeh is the CEO of Renaissance Carnival Int., and RCW Weekend Experiences, and has created a dynamic organization and following of professionals who gather at his global events to be empowered and celebrate culture and diversity through Global Carnival festival experiences.
Renaissance Carnival events are in the top 10 destination wedding locations and through the process provide you, the planner with a Luxury Brand strategy, Brand positioning, Pricing Strategy, Social Media Plan and other essential supports.
The average destination wedding guest stays for 3 days. Carnival celebrations are for 4 days, with plenty events the bridal couple and their guests can celebrate or relax– stress free.
There is no need to feel an obligation to play host and find ways to occupy guests’ time.
On a grand scale such as this, the organization can step in and build out an event in areas that do not have the infrastructure of high end hotels yet in place, where in such pristine and unique places, the activities and time transform to become the stillness and cherished moments that imprint the soul forever.
Jamila Lee, Sales Executive from one of our host hotels, the recently beautifully renovated W Atlanta Midtown Hotel also spoke to this beautiful hotel and how she can support Destination Wedding Planners with add on events to carnival, and their overall needs with regards to wedding planning alongside carnival events.
Another key destination wedding city for Carnival is Las Vegas Nevada, known as the wedding capital of the world. Jodi Harris, president of the Wedding Chamber of Commerce in Las Vegas, Nevada also spoke to the unique qualities of Las Vegas for weddings and plans for 2021.
Do you know that Las Vegas will host it 5 millionth wedding in 2021. Yes a big deal! With the Wedding Chamber of Commerce, we have exciting events to elevate the Las Vegas experience as well. There are plans to rename part of the boulevard as Wedding Way and create a Wedding Walk of Fame. So you can imagine how the Las Vegas Carnival event will be exciting!
